Summary
-THIS IS A LANDBASED ROLE AND YOU MUST BE BASED IN NEY YORK AND HOLD THE RIGHT TO LIVE AND WORK IN THE USA TO BE CONSIDERED -
Silver Swan is currently working with a private family based in New York to help them recruit a joyful, high-calibre Nanny / Family Assistant to support their 6-year-old child, with light organisational oversight relating to an older child’s schedule. This is a dynamic, thoughtful household seeking a proactive and emotionally intelligent individual who is passionate about nurturing independence, curiosity, and confidence in children.
This is not a passive nanny role. The successful candidate will bring initiative, calm energy, and social fluency, contributing positively to the overall rhythm of the household while supporting a bright, curious child through engaging experiences, projects, and travel.
The role is primarily afternoon-based during the school year, with flexibility around a four- or five-day working week. During school holidays and summer periods, the family travels extensively, including extended stays in Europe, and the nanny will be expected to travel with them, working longer days balanced with appropriate time off or shared cover with a second nanny when required.
Please Note: Candidates must have a legal right to live and work in the US prior to applying as, unfortunately, we do not offer visa sponsorship. If you do not have a legal right to live and work in the US, your application will NOT be considered.
