Job Title: Deck/Mate – 35m+ Motor Yacht

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Deck/Mate to join a well-established crew onboard a 35m+ motor yacht. The Captain is looking for a strong all-rounder with a solid work ethic, excellent crew integration skills, and proven experience in a similar role on comparable vessel sizes.
This is a physically demanding position, requiring a hands-on approach, strong leadership on deck, and the ability to support a cohesive, professional team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Captain with the safe navigation, operation, and management of the yacht.
- Lead and actively participate in all deck operations, maintenance, and refit-related tasks.
- Maintain high standards of safety, seamanship, and deck presentation.
- Supervise deck crew, ensuring clear communication, teamwork, and positive morale.
- Support bridge operations as required, including watchkeeping when necessary.
- Ensure all deck equipment, tenders, and toys are maintained and operational.
- Act as a key link between Captain and crew, promoting a respectful and efficient onboard culture.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as Deck/Mate on 35m+ motor yachts.
- Yachtmaster Offshore (commercially endorsed) required; OOW highly desirable. YM MUST be commercially endorsed
- AEC 1&2 - must have 1&2
- PWC Instructor - must be instructor
- Male candidate only (due to cabin arrangements).
- 25+ years old; good cultural fit with existing crew (ages 27–45).
- Excellent physical fitness — this is a hands-on, physically intensive role.
- Strong references demonstrating reliability, teamwork, and leadership.
- Fluent English required; additional languages a plus.
