Captain (500 GT) – 34m Private / Light Charter | Mediterranean
We are seeking an exceptional 500 GT Captain to lead a truly special 38m private / light-charter yacht operating seasonally in the Mediterranean.
This is a single-season Mediterranean program with very light charter use and warm, family-oriented ownership who value professionalism, discretion, and genuine human connection. The owner is active, adventurous, and hands-on — someone who enjoys hiking, swimming, and exploring ashore as much as time onboard — and is looking for a Captain who naturally fits into that lifestyle.
This is not a “drive-the-boat-and-disappear” role. The ideal candidate is engaged, proactive, communicative, and passionate about yachting, with strong local Mediterranean knowledge and a calm, confident leadership style.
The Right Candidate
- 500 GT license (minimum)
- Proven experience as Captain or a strong step-up background on similar-size vessels
- Excellent Mediterranean cruising knowledge
- Highly active, fit, and energetic
- Outstanding communicator with owners, guests, and crew
- Proactive problem-solver with strong organizational skills
- Genuine love for the lifestyle — on and off the water
- Absolutely no smoking, vaping, or drugs (non-negotiable)
