Temporary American Captain – 145’ Westship (U.S.-Flagged)

We are seeking an experienced American Captain to step in on a temporary relief basis for a 145’ U.S.-flagged Westship currently based in Fort Lauderdale.
This role is to provide coverage while the permanent Captain recovers from a minor injury. The vessel is alongside completing a series of maintenance and project items, with a possible short guest trip to Turks & Caicos in February.
Requirements:
- U.S. Citizen (due to U.S.-flagged vessel)
- Master 500 GT license
- Must be currently located in Florida
- Proven experience operating similar-size motor yachts
- Strong project oversight and shipyard coordination experience
- Confident handling owners/guests for a short trip if required
- Professional, calm, and adaptable leadership style
Program Details:

- Primarily dockside during project period
- Possible short Caribbean trip (Turks & Caicos) in February
