Summary
We are seeking an exceptional and experienced 3rd Officer, who is a well-rounded and hands-on leader, for a prestigious and highly reputable 100m+ Private MY.
Our ideal candidate is qualified, knowledgeable, organized and a great communicator, detail oriented, hands-on, driven and able to lead a fantastic deck team, with a positive and encouraging attitude.
We are searching for a candidate with strong administrative skills, with proven competence in Excel, Adobe, and Word, as the role involves ongoing review and refinement of Risk Assessments, SOPs, checklists, and permits to work.
As our 3rd Officer, there is a significant focus on safety management, including routine checks, maintenance, and record-keeping of all safety equipment onboard. During owner trips, the 3rd Officer will work closely with the deck team, to ensure the vessel’s established high standards are consistently upheld, while also completing all weekly operational and safety tasks associated with the position. This is a hands-on position; deck presence is essential.
There is a high level of crossover with the 2nd Officer’s role, and the successful candidate will be expected to step up and assume Second Officer responsibilities during periods of leave. This requires a solid understanding of navigational, safety, and compliance duties at the 2nd Officer level – therefore we need someone who is close to their Chief Officer 3000gt.
We are looking for a professional individual who is outgoing, friendly, proactive and with a great sense of common-sense.
Many of the crew onboard has worked for the owner for a long time, so crew retention is HIGH.
This yacht moves a lot and has a busy schedule, so this role is not for the faint hearted, we need a hardworking and enthusiastic candidate.
