Silver Swan is currently working with a returning client in Courchevel 1850 to help them hire an experienced private chef for the winter season, starting as soon as possible. This role is based in a beautiful chalet and is suited to a chef with proven private catering or chalet experience, confident in delivering high-quality meals in a refined alpine environment.
You will be working within a nice, small team and will be responsible for all culinary aspects of the chalet, catering to the preferences of the guests throughout their stay. This position would suit a chef looking for a seasonal role, although candidates available until mid to end of January will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare daily breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner for up to 12 guests
- Create varied, seasonal menus tailored to guest preferences
- Deliver high standards of presentation and flavour at all times
- Cater for informal family dining and entertaining as required
- Source high-quality ingredients locally and manage suppliers
- Maintain excellent kitchen organisation and hygiene standards
- Manage food stock, ordering and inventory efficiently
- Work collaboratively with the chalet team to ensure smooth service
- Accommodate dietary requirements and special requests
- Ensure discretion and professionalism at all times
Ideal Candidate
- Must hold an EU passport or the right to work in France
- Proven experience as a private chef, chalet chef or in private catering
- Confident cooking for UHNW clients and guests
- Strong knowledge of seasonal and alpine cuisine
- Flexible, reliable and able to start immediately
- Comfortable working as part of a small team
- Well-presented with a professional, positive attitude
- Able to commit to the season or until mid/end of January
Package
- Working schedule: TBC at the interview stage depending on the guests bookings.
- Live-in accommodation provided – Private room provided within staff accommodation.
- Seasonal position (shorter-term availability until Mid/End of January considered)
- Salary: €2,500 – €3,000 net per month, depending on experience
