Silver Swan is currently working with a luxury chalet operator in the French Alps to help them hire a full-time Chalet Host to join the team in Meribel. This is a fully staffed chalet accommodating up to 12 guests, where you will work alongside a Chef, two Chalet Managers/Hosts and Drivers. The role focuses on delivering exceptional hospitality, providing seamless guest service, and supporting the smooth running of the chalet throughout the season.
This is a hands-on position involving hosting, driving, housekeeping, and general operational support. You will be an essential part of the daily resort service, ensuring that guests enjoy a warm, welcoming and impeccably maintained environment.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with chalet opening and close-down procedures in line with company standards
- Operate the in-resort minibus service for guests between 8am and 8pm daily
- Transport staff to and from work shifts as required
- Maintain vehicles to a high standard, ensuring cleanliness, safety and fuel levels
- Keep chalet paths clear of snow, ice and hazards
- Support with general chalet maintenance and basic handyman tasks
- Assist with shopping, stock deliveries and movement of supplies
- Lay and clear the table for all meals, ensuring attractive and appropriate presentation
- Provide professional, attentive and friendly meal service at all times
- Assist the Chef with food preparation, plating and washing up when required
- Complete daily housekeeping tasks including bed making, turndown, bathroom cleaning, and general tidying
- Carry out daily cleaning checks and follow housekeeping schedules for consistent high standards
- Manage fireplaces, flowers, linen and guest supplies, ensuring all areas are well presented
- Provide excellent guest service, offering local information and fulfilling guest requests
- Report any guest or property issues promptly to the Resort Manager
- Uphold all chalet Health & Safety protocols
Ideal Candidate:
- Must hold an EU passport or the right to work in France
- Previous hospitality or customer-facing experience
- Experience working in chalets or private residences is advantageous
- Basic cooking skills desirable but not essential
- Confident with general maintenance and basic DIY (advantageous)
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive, flexible attitude
- Reliable team player with excellent time-keeping
- Clean driving licence
- Comfortable driving minibuses or vans (experience preferred)
- Ability to work independently and manage varied daily duties
- Fluent English speaker
