A lovely, dual-working professional family in London is seeking a highly organised, proactive, and experienced Live-Out Nanny/House Manager to establish structure and bring calm to their busy household. This role is ideal for an experienced individual seeking a long-term position who can take initiative, create efficient systems, and become an indispensable part of the family's routine.
The Role & Responsibilities
This is a varied role focusing on afternoon care, household management, and establishing consistency.
Childcare (2 Children)
- Wrap-Around Care: School pick-ups (15:30-16:30) and managing after-school routines.
- Homework Management: Dedicated support to ensure homework is completed to a high standard, filling in any educational gaps, and liaising with the parents.
- Activity Runs: Transporting children to local clubs .
- Routine Establishment: Creating and maintaining consistent morning and after-school routines, including preparing uniforms and sorting snacks.
Household Management & Cooking
- Structure & Organisation: Implementing systems for organisation, particularly for children's belongings and toy rotation.
- Light Cleaning: Tidying the home and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organisation during school hours.
- Meal Planning & Cooking: Preparing nutritious, healthy meals for the children, including regular batch cooking to lighten the load. Managing household stock.
- Errands & Initiative: Taking full initiative to manage household needs
Pet Care
- Caring for the family's friendly dog. This includes daily walks and incorporating the dog into the school pick-up routine.
Core Hours & Structure
The ideal candidate would work approximately 11 am to 7:00 PM, Monday to Friday (hours negotiable).
- Lunchtime (approx. 2 hours): Light cleaning, household tidying, cooking preparation, batch cooking, and managing household logistics.
- Afternoons (approx. 15:00 - 19:00): School pick-ups, homework supervision, clubs, dinner preparation/serving, and bath time support until parents take over for bedtime (approx. 6:45 PM - 7:00 PM).
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience: Proven, long-term experience in a Nanny or House Manager role.
- Proactive & System-Oriented: A highly organised individual who is experienced in implementing structure and routine in a busy environment. Must be able to take strong initiative.
- Educational Focus: Someone who is confident and experienced in supporting children's education and ensuring homework is prioritised.
- Driving: Not essential, but parking is available if the candidate wishes to drive.
- Commitment: Must be seeking a long-term role and enjoy the challenges of bringing order to a family environment.
- Must have a legal right to work in the UK
