We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Temporary Officer of the Watch (OOW) for a prestigious 55-metre private Motor Yacht, built by Amels and registered under the Cayman Lloyds flag. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a well-established private vessel based in Barcelona, with potential crossing to Antigua. The successful candidate will be involved in a varied itinerary, including a crossing scheduled for November 15th, and will be expected to provide professional watchkeeping and safety oversight during this period. Responsibilities include ensuring the safety of the vessel, crew, and passengers, adhering to all maritime regulations, and supporting the bridge team in navigation and operational tasks. This contractual position is ideal for someone seeking short-term engagement while contributing to a dynamic team environment, gaining valuable experience in a high-end yachting setting.

Candidate requirements:
- Valid OOW certificate with relevant maritime qualifications
- Previous experience in a 2nd Officer role on similar size yachts
- Proficiency in English; good communication skills essential
- Experience with safety procedures, LSA checks, and routine bridge operations
- Experience with crossing voyages is desirable
- Flexible and adaptable attitude to work and travel
- Available to start ASAP for approximately one month or more
- Must be in or nearby Barcelona at the time of start
- Preferably in late 20s to early 30s with bosun experience advantageous
- Willingness to assist with touch-ups and short-term duties
Package:
- Salary: €5,500 - 6,000 pcm
- Leave: 3.2 days paid leave
- Itinerary: Mediterranean possible crossing to Antigua
