Engineer – 41m Private/Charter M/Y
Seeking an experienced Engineer to join a dynamic, active program. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of an energetic, adventure-focused crew, heavy fishing and diving program.
Program Overview
- Based in Fort Lauderdale – start ASAP
- Itinerary: Charters through the New Year, followed by private owner trips until mid-May
- Highly active program with a strong fishing and diving focus
- Owner is very easy-going and includes crew in activities
- Shared cabin with the fishing guide for 4 months of the year; otherwise own cabin
Responsibilities
- Full responsibility for engineering operations, maintenance, and safe management of all systems onboard
- Maintain planned maintenance schedules and accurate engineering records
- Ensure readiness and reliability of all mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Assist on deck as needed with lines, tenders, and guest setup
- Work collaboratively with an active, team-oriented crew
Requirements
- Y4 preferred; experienced AEC 1 & 2 candidates considered with an extensive engineering background and strong yacht experience
- English mother tongue essential
- B1/B2 visa in hand with at least 6 months validity
- All certifications current and valid for a minimum of 6 months
- Previous longevity and strong engineering references
- Team player with a proactive attitude and interest in fishing and diving
