Captain in Virgin Islands (British)

Summary

Temp or Permanent Captain position available for the right candidate on 56m Private / Charter motor yacht.

Candidate must be familiar with Bahamas, Caribbean and Mediterranean cruising.

Towing experience preferred - vessel tows a 42 foot centre console tender.

Must have strong leadership skills and good references.

Charter experience preferred.

Experienced owner and good HOD team.

Salary: DOE

Leave: 40 days

Minimum qualification: Master 3000 GT, ECDIS Generic, GMDSS (GOC), Proficiency in Medical Care, STCW Basic, Advanced Fire Fighting, PSCRB

Required visas: B1/B2 visa or green card, Schengen visa or EU passport

Essential Qualifications

Entry Level Qualifications (or equivalent)

• STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
• ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)
• Drivers License

Master/Skipper Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• MCA CoC Master <3000gt / Class 4

STCW Modules (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• Proficiency in Survival Craft & Rescue Boats (PSCRB) (A-VI/2 1-4)
• Human, Element, Leadership & Management (Management)
• GMDSS General Operators Certificate (GOC)
• Electronic Chart Display (ECDIS)
• Advanced Fire Fighting (A-VI/3)
• Proficiency in Medical Care

Specialised Security Courses

• Proficiency as Ship Security Officer (SSO) (A-VI/5)

RYA Qualifications

• RYA Personal Watercraft Proficiency (PWC)
