Summary
56m private/charter motor yacht, operating a dual-season schedule in the Mediterranean & Caribbean, is seeking an experienced Chief Officer.
Requirements:
- Chief Mate 3000GT or higher
- STCW, ENG1, SSO, ECDIS
- Proven experience as Chief Officer or strong 2nd Officer stepping up from 50m+ yachts
- Excellent operational knowledge, including navigation, ISM/ISPS/MLC/SOLAS and deck maintenance
- Strong tender driving skills and experience with towing large tenders
- Confident in overseeing the deck team, bridge management, and leading drills / onboard training
- Familiar with shipyard periods and project management
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written
- Schengen visa & B1B2 visa
Duties include:
- Leading and mentoring the deck team with hands-on guidance
- Assisting the Captain in the safe and efficient running of the vessel
- Overseeing navigational planning and bridge operations
- Coordinating exterior maintenance, appearance, and deck schedules
- Managing safety drills, crew training, and inventory control
