Summary

We are seeking a skilled Deckhand/Carpenter to join our team onboard a 120m+ Private Motor Yacht, currently undergoing a refit period in Germany.

You'll work closely with the Bosun & Chief Officer in all deck operations while also being responsible for joinery tasks, interior/exterior carpentry repairs, and custom projects.

Start Date: ASAP

Leave: 3:1

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Formal carpentry or joinery training with demonstrable skills. Preferably a home trade before starting your career at sea.
  • Strong deckhand knowledge, with confidence in all exterior duties. Experience with twin jet & twin duo prop would be beneficial.
  • Experience with Pinpoint works would be advantageous.
  • Experience with varnishing & painting (International & Alexseal) would be advantageous. Experience with Konig Detailing Kits is also advantageous
  • STCW Basic Safety Training & ENG1 in hand is mandatory. Crowd & Crisis Management is desired but not essential to secure the role
  • Excellent team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail

Strong teamwork & communication skills are essential, as is a commitment to maintaining a positive crew culture.

A training allowance will be provided after six months of employment, & a leave schedule of 3:1 ensures a more balanced work / life dynamic. The position offers a generous monthly salary.
