The Candidate Specification
We are seeking a professional and motivated Second Officer to join a world-cruising 90M+ private yacht. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years' experience as OOW on vessels over 70M and hold an OOW Unlimited certification. A background in commercial or shore-based maritime operations before transitioning to yachting is highly desirable.
This is a hands-on role suited to a level-headed and dependable officer who thrives in a structured, compliance-driven environment. The successful candidate will have a strong grasp of navigation procedures, ISM and ISPS systems, and vessel safety operations. HLO certification and experience with helicopter operations are advantageous. You should be a confident communicator, reliable under pressure, and eager to continue developing your skills under senior guidance.
