Summary
An experienced and qualified Carpenter is required by a 120m+ Northern European vessel which is entering the shipyard this September for a 6-month refit. The right candidate should have fantastic carpentry skills (formal qualification advantageous). Reporting to the Bosun the ideal candidate must work well within a team and perform a role within the deck department according to the highest standards and procedures. Candidates are to be able to demonstrate a good track record onboard a large yacht or cruise ship and have good references to match.
This is a 6-month contract role. You must have experience as a carpenter building or working on a yacht or cruise ship to apply for this role.
Job Specification
- Valid STCW '10 Certificates
- Valid ENG1 Medical with no restrictions
- Proficiency in Designated Security Duties (PDSD)
- Minimum 3+ Years in similar role and rank experience
- Preferably the right to work in the EU by passport but Schengen Visa considered
- EDH / Able Seaman / Ordinary Seaman's certificate advantageous
- A qualification in Carpentry would be very well received
- Excellent set of cleaning, painting, maintenance skills
- Good health and good sobriety
- Must speak fluent English
- Must have good written references and contact details must be provided
- Must be vaccinated for COVID-19
- No visible tattoos
