Summary
We are seeking an experienced 3rd Officer to join a 70m+ dual-season private/charter yacht on a temporary contract. This role requires someone who has already gained officer-level experience on yachts and is confident in their responsibilities on deck, bridge and during guest operations.
The contract will cover the remainder of the Mediterranean season, continue into a shipyard period and conclude with the crossing to the Caribbean.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with navigation, watchkeeping and passage planning under the direction of the Chief Officer and Captain
- Oversee deck operations including water sports, tender driving and guest activities
- Support safety, security and ISM/ISPS compliance onboard
- Supervise and assist deck crew with daily duties and maintenance tasks
- Participate in shipyard projects and preparation for the Atlantic crossing
- Maintain professional standards and ensure guest service is delivered at the highest level
Requirements:
- OOW 3000 GT (minimum)
- Previous officer-level experience on similar sized yachts
- Strong tender driving and deck operations skills
- Solid knowledge of bridge procedures, safety drills, and navigation systems
- Proactive, hands-on approach with strong leadership skills
- Availability from 8th September to approx. Mid December
