Position: Deck/Engineer

Location: USA (with travel to Europe)

Vessel: 50m Yacht

Type: Contract - 3 weeks

Overview:

We are seeking a qualified Deck/Engineer for the delivery of a 50-meter yacht from the USA to Europe. The ideal candidate will hold a valid Schengen visa,(if Necessary) and possess the necessary certifications, including STCW and ENG1.

MUST be available in the US or Bahamas.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the safe and efficient operation of the vessel during transit.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on deck and engine systems.
  • Watch keeping as instructed.
  • Ensure compliance with maritime regulations and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with the captain and crew to manage daily operations.
  • Conduct pre-departure inspections and prepare the vessel for delivery.
  • Document all maintenance and operational activities accurately.

Qualifications:

  • Valid STCW certification.
  • Valid ENG1 medical certificate.
  • AEC 1 & 2 would be an advantage
  • Schengen visa allowing travel to Europe.
  • Proven experience in a deck/engineering role on similar-sized vessels.
  • Strong knowledge of maritime regulations and safety practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
