Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Deckhand with a Yacht master qualification to join our clients dedicated crew aboard an 85-meter charter motor yacht. The ideal candidate will possess a strong maritime background, exceptional teamwork skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the daily operations and maintenance of the yacht, ensuring all equipment is in excellent condition.
- Perform deck duties including line handling, anchoring, and mooring.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all exterior areas, including the bridge, decks, and equipment storage.
- Support the chief officer in managing safety drills and emergency procedures.
- Participate in guest services, including their safety and comfort during excursions.
- Collaborate with the crew during refits and repairs, demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Qualifications:
- Valid Yacht master certification (commercially endorsed preferred).
- STCW Basic Safety Training and ENG1 medical certificate.
- Experience working on yachts of 60m+ is highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in deck maintenance, water sports, and tender operations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and emergency procedures.
