Summary
EXCELLENT TEMPORARY HOUSEKEEPER REQUIRED FOR HIGH-PROFILE COUPLE IN LONDON
Location: South Bank, London
Contract: Full-time, Temporary (August 2025, possibility to go permanent for the ideal candidate)
Salary: £45,000-46,000 per annum, pro-rata (plus discretionary bonus)
Status: Live-out
A friendly and professional high-profile couple are seeking a capable and experienced Housekeeper to help manage the day-to-day running of their contemporary, three-bedroom apartment located in the South Bank area. The property is conveniently situated within walking distance of major transport connections—about a 12-minute walk from both Blackfriars and Waterloo East stations, and just 8 minutes from Southwark Station.
The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the home remains clean, well-organised, and running smoothly. Daily cleaning, tidying, and ongoing upkeep of the property are key duties, along with handling all aspects of laundry including washing, ironing, and linen changes. Special care should be taken with high-end clothing and delicate materials, requiring attention to detail and experience with luxury fabrics.
The couple share their home with a small dog, and while they often split their time between London and other locations—typically bringing the dog along—this role will include both busy periods and quieter intervals. Pet care is another important aspect, as the Housekeeper will be responsible for the couple’s small dog during working hours - this includes feeding, walking, and occasionally taking the dog to the vet.
In addition to cleaning, the role involves managing deliveries, coordinating with contractors and service providers, and maintaining appropriate stock levels of household supplies, often acting as the main point of contact for daily home needs. Also responsible for overseeing grocery deliveries (primarily via Ocado) and ensuring that the fridge and pantry remain well-stocked, the Housekeeper should also be able to prepare simple, healthy meals such as salads, soups, or grilled fish in the absence of the Chef.
Working from Monday to Friday from 9am-5:30pm, this role is ideally suited to an energetic Housekeeper who is able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, able to manage a range of duties in a cool, calm and collected manner. A good understanding of household technology, such as smart home systems and online ordering platforms, is desirable.
