TEMPORARY LIVE-IN HOUSEKEEPER REQUIRED FOR HNW FAMILY IN DEVON

We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented temporary private Housekeeper to support a high-net-worth family and their guests during their holiday in their large seaside property in Devon. This is a live-in role running from 28th July to 5th August, providing essential behind-the-scenes housekeeping services to ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay for the family and their guests.
Supporting the family’s permanent staff, duties will include general cleaning, turn-ups and refreshing of bedrooms, cleaning bathrooms, replenishing towels and amenities, as well as assisting with basic food preparation and washing up in the kitchen. Additionally, you will also ensure that the poolside area is prepared, including laying out towels and cushions and occasionally serving drinks if required. The role requires a professional, discreet, and service-focused approach, as well as an excellent eye for detail.
Working a split shift schedule from 7am-2pm and again from 5pm-9pm, the successful candidate will be offered accommodation in a private studio or beach chalet a 10-minute walk from the family’s property. Due to the rural location of the property, the housekeeper will ideally be a driver.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
· Hands-on housekeeping to include dusting, vacuuming, mopping, changing bed linen and making beds, cleaning bathrooms etc.
· Assisting with laundry and ironing when required
· Assisting with basic food prep and washing up
· Poolside setup – ensuring that towels, cushions, sunscreens are out
· Food & drink service support when required
· Ad-hoc support to the wider team
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
· A sharp eye for detail and strong organisational skills
· Efficient time management
· Previous experience in a HNW private household, preferably within a staffed household
· Discreet, polished, well presented and professional
· Strong communication skills and a helpful, respectful attitude
· Reliable and trustworthy team player
· Proactive and self-motivated
· High standard of cleanliness and attention to detail
· Driving ability preferred but not essential (due to rural setting)
· Excellent checkable references
