Summary

EXCEPTIONAL DAILY HOUSEKEEPER SOUGHT FOR HNW FAMILY BASED IN WIMBLEDON VILLAGE

Where: Wimbledon Village, London

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £70,000 gross per annum

Status: Live-out

A warm and welcoming family based in Wimbledon Village is seeking a highly experienced, professional, and discreet Daily Housekeeper to join their household on a permanent, full-time basis, ideally starting as soon as possible. This is a key role in maintaining the smooth daily running of a large private home and involves both hands-on housekeeping and oversight responsibilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing household standards, assisting other domestic staff where required, and ensuring that the home is consistently maintained to the highest level of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation.

Key responsibilities include daily cleaning and tidying, wardrobe and laundry management, running errands and receiving deliveries, as well as managing household and grocery supplies and liaising with contractors and suppliers. The family have 3 school-aged children and employ a housekeeper/nanny, so though daily childcare is not a core responsibility, it’s imperative that the successful candidate is child-friendly and happy to undertake occasional school or playdate pick-ups when required. A confident London-driver with a full UK driving license is required for this role, though a personal vehicle is not required.

The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am-6pm (45 hours per week), with occasional Saturday work by prior arrangement—in such cases, Monday of the same week would be given off in lieu.  The ideal candidate will be hardworking, reliable, trustworthy, and proactive, with a discreet and unflappable nature, as well as pet friendly – the family have a large, well-trained dog, so it’s essential that the Housekeeper is comfortable around dogs, though dog walking will not be required.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

·       Daily cleaning including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, changing beds, cleaning bathrooms and kitchen

·       Laundry, ironing, and wardrobe management, including caring for fine fabrics, mending clothes and cleaning shoes

·       Taking clothes to the dry cleaners/alterers as required

·       Management of household supplies, toiletries and pet supplies and replenishing as needed

·       Managing the weekly food shop

·       Errand running, answering the door and receiving deliveries

·       Liaising and overseeing contractors when working in the home

·       Occasional school or playdate pick-ups for the children

·       Preparing light, family-style meals for the family on occasion (ideally)

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

·       Prior experience in a similar role ensuring the smooth running of a large HNW home

·       Highly discreet, professional and able to maintain confidentiality

·       Hard working, reliable and honest

·       Proactive with strong problem-solving skills

·       Unflappable, calm and a great communicator who is able to talk openly and honestly

·       Team player who is able to work with other staff

·       Pet friendly and child friendly

·       Fluency in English & the right to live and work in the UK

·       Flexible and adaptable

·       London-based

·       Confident London driver with a full UK driving license

·       DBS checked or willingness to obtain a DBS check

·       Excellent checkable references
