A wonderful opportunity has become available for an experienced and professional live-out Housekeeper to join a private household based in Daventry, UK. This is a permanent position within a warm and welcoming home, where high standards and attention to detail are key. The property is a large, beautifully maintained residence, and the successful candidate will take full responsibility for its day-to-day upkeep.
This is a sole-charge role, so applicants must be confident managing all general housekeeping and laundry duties independently, including cleaning, tidying, ironing, and wardrobe management. Additional tasks will include packing and unpacking for the principals, who travel regularly, and ensuring the home is always maintained to a pristine standard.
The family has a dog and a small Shetland pony, so a genuine love for animals is essential. When the principals are away, the housekeeper will be expected to housesit and care for the pets and property, so reliability, trustworthiness, and a flexible approach are crucial. Due to the nature of the principals' lifestyle, the ability to adapt to last-minute changes in schedule is also important.
This role is live-out, to start immediately, and would suit someone already based locally. When the principals are in the UK, working hours would be 10 am – 4 pm. Applicants must hold a valid UK driving licence and have their own car for ease of travel to and from the property.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
· General housekeeping on a daily basis
· Making beds and cleaning bathrooms to a high standard
· All laundry duties
· Assisting with packing and unpacking
· Housesitting when the principals are out of the UK
· Pet care duties as required
· Ad-hoc duties as required
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
· Prior housekeeping experience in a high-end private household
· Fluency in spoken and written English
· Hardworking and dedicated
· Energetic and self-motivated
· High attention to detail
· Able to work independently with little supervision, good team player
· Trustworthy and reliable
· UK driving licence and own vehicle
· Excellent checkable reference
