Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and health-conscious Private Chef to support a couple based in Central London. The chef will be responsible for preparing a daily breakfast and late lunch for the Principals, with the flexibility to cook the occasional evening meal if requested.
The Principals are looking for nutritious and delicious meals, and the chef should be confident in preparing meals from a variety of global cuisines and capable of striking the right balance between health-focused and flavour-rich cooking.
The chef will be in charge of kitchen management, including menu planning, grocery shopping, and stocking the kitchen. The principals are happy to provide any appliances, utensils, or equipment the chef requires.
This is a Monday to Friday position, with occasional flexibility required for weekends or evenings, which will be compensated with paid overtime. The role is available for an immediate start and is being offered on a short-term basis of 4 to 5 months, with the possibility of extension or going permanent.
The chef may be asked to travel with the family on short holidays in the future, although this is not currently a confirmed requirement.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE:
• Prepare daily breakfast and lunch for the Principals, with occasional dinners if requested
• Create menus based on seasonal, nutritious ingredients
• Source and shop for all groceries and kitchen supplies
• Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked kitchen
• Suggest or request the appliances and tools needed for optimal meal preparation
• Occasionally, cook for up to 4 people when family members visit
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends (overtime paid)
• Possible future travel with the principals (TBC)
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Strong experience working as a Chef working for high-net-worth clients
• Deep knowledge of healthy, nutritious cooking and dietary balance
• Ability to prepare international dishes from a variety of global cuisines
• Organised, self-motivated, and able to manage all aspects of kitchen operations
• Flexible, discreet, and professional in both attitude and presentation
• Strict on hygiene procedures
• Willingness to be adaptable to occasional schedule changes
• Fluent in English
• Right to live and work in the UK
• Excellent checkable references
