Stew/Cook – Fort Lauderdale-Based FF Vessel (Open to Couples with Deckhand)
A foreign-flagged private vessel based in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a well-rounded Stew/Cook that is culinary trained. SLOWER PROGRAM with older couple, please consider before submitting.
This can be live-aboard or live-ashore position, when in Fort Lauderdale, with travel onboard when on trips.
- Private use only – primarily Mr. & Mrs.
- Captain and home staff have been with the family for 30+ years
Position Details:
- Solo Stew/Cook responsible for both interior and culinary duties
- Casual daily meals (light, fresh, healthy), with 2 upscale meals per week (e.g., Beef Wellington, foie gras, ect)
- Culinary training or strong fine-dining experience preferred
- Interior responsibilities include housekeeping, general upkeep and light service
- Must maintain a clean, organized, and guest-ready environment at all times
Candidate Requirements:
- Must have a B1/B2 visa already in hand
- Previous experience in a similar dual role or strong culinary background with willingness to handle stew duties
- Professional, discreet, and detail-oriented
- Absolutely no smoking of any kind (non-negotiable)
- Background check and drug testing are standard
Start Date:
- Ideally available to begin first week of June
