Position: Captain/Engineer USCG license is required for this US flagged yacht.

Requirements:
Minimum 5 years as permanent captain on yachts 90’+.
Demonstrated longevity in past roles
STCW+ Refresher
ENG1 or current fit for duty marine medical (valid for 6 months)
US Passport valid for minimum 1 year / or Green card - this is a US flagged vessel and required.

Fishing skills are a strong plus; diving and sailing skills are considered advantages but are not required.
Responsibilities: Running a successful and enjoyable/safe owner program.

Job specific: Vessel runs with 3-4 crew and up to 6-8 overnight guests - this is a family-oriented vessel.
The yacht participates in one annual charter during the first week of August each year. Usage during the school year is limited to weekends and holidays, suggesting smaller groups - likely the immediate family or just the two teen sons. The family spends summers in Maine and often cruises to Nantucket.
Summer trips might involve larger gatherings, potentially including extended family and guests.
The Captain's primary focus remains on main yacht, 32m, but the role includes as-needed support for the family's other boats (39', 46' fishing boats and 35' sail boat), particularly with maintenance planning. They do have regular maintenance from the yard.
The owner appreciates loyalty and a good conversation with the captain. It is important to relate to his teen sons as well. He has had long term captains during his extensive yachting ownership. He really enjoys his time on the water.
There are 2 crew cabins. 1 single, 1 - with 2 bunks. Crew mess.
Salary range: Within yachting salary guidelines. USD. Annual bonuses.
Package: Medical coverage, flights to and from the vessel, 3 weeks paid leave, etc. to be finalized during interview process.
Commercial Registered Yacht: No - private under 500gt
