Position: CAPTAIN with solid engineering skills - US flagged  

Must be legal to work in the US. Citizen, Green card, US work permit.

Winter season - mainly based/docked in the Bahamas. If all is agreed with both parties could stay on and head to New York for the summer season cruising up north. Has a fishing boat in NY as well.

Licence Required: USCG 100gt+ with 5+ years experience as a captain

Requirements: Solid captain and engineering skills. No incidents. Light drinkers. Enjoys a healthy lifestyle.

STCW + Refresher

ENG1 or current fit for duty marine medical (valid for 6 months)

Passport - US / green card holder

Covid vaccination

Experience cruising S. Florida, East Coast, Bahamas 

Background check and drug testing may apply. 

Responsibilities: Captain/Engineer 

Job Specifics: Family vessel with experienced owner, having previously owned several sailboats. Two sons who will come and go. Relaxed program.  Enjoys fishing, surfing, water sports.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Manage vessel

Ensure safety and security of passengers and vessel

Organize and plan trip itineraries

Provision and equip vessel prior to all trips

Carry out routine checks of vessel

Carry out maintenance and repairs to vessel

Interact with guests

Salary range: Within yachting salary guidelines depending on experience 

Package: Medical coverage, flights to and from the vessel, paid leave, etc. to be finalized during interview process. 

Commercial Registered Yacht: no private under 500gt 

Essential Qualifications

Entry Level Qualifications (or equivalent)

• STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
• ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)
• Drivers License
