Position: CAPTAIN with solid engineering skills - US flagged 

TEMPORARY for March and possibly some time in New York/Maine this summer.

Must be legal to work in the US. Citizen, Green card, US work permit. 

March: Mainly Bahamas cruising. Summer: They may have some relief work in NY and Maine as well.

Owner and his sons love fishing, family loves surfing, water sports.

License Required: USCG 100gt+ with 5+ years experience as a captain

Requirements: Strong engineering/maintenance skills

STCW + Refresher

ENG1 or current fit for duty marine medical (valid for 6 months)

Passport - US / green card holder

Covid vaccination

Experience cruising in S. Florida, Bahamas

Active, fit and loves water sports, etc.

Background check and drug testing may apply.

Responsibilities: Captain/Engineer

Job Specifics: Family vessel with experienced owner, having previously owned several sailboats. Two sons who will come and go. Relaxed program. 2 dogs. loves fishing, surfing, water sports. Can hire additional crew as needed.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Manage vessel

Ensure safety and security of passengers and vessel

Organize and plan trip itineraries

Provision and equip vessel prior to all trips

Carry out routine checks of vessel

Carry out maintenance and repairs to vessel

Interact with guests

Salary range: Within yachting salary guidelines depending on experience

Package: Medical coverage, flights to and from the vessel, paid leave, etc. to be finalized during interview process.

Commercial Registered Yacht: no private under 500gt
