Requirements:
- STCW + Refresher
- ENG1 or current fit for duty marine medical (valid for min. 6 months) - physically fit
- Passport (valid min. 1 year)
- Strong on Bridge/accounts
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Solid history of crew management
- Hands on DECK
- True Non-Smokers
VISA: B1/B2 visa (minimum 1 year) , Schengen for Europe as needed.
Background check and drug testing may apply.
Responsibilities: First Mate duties. Hands on deck, management, good communicator, great leadership skills.
In charge of the exterior, it runs with 2 crew, 1st mate and deckhand.
Job Specifics:
This is a 45m private vessel with experienced owners and crew. It runs with 7/8 crew.
Ideal Candidate:
- Fishing knowledge & skills
- Diving qualification
- Confident driving 34ft chase
- Confident running the deck and has good skills & knowledge
- Navigation and watch experience (will be holding their own watch)
- Yachtmaster offshore minimum
- Experience with LSA & FFE equipment and servicing etc
- All round good person
- Will get drive time and tutoring from Captains
The selected candidate will receive direct training from the captain and, upon demonstrating high standards of performance, will be rewarded with drive time. Bosuns ready to step up can be considered. Candidates with aspirations to become a captain himself.
Salary range: Within yachting salary guidelines depending on experience. GOOD
