Burgess recruitment is currently seeking a Deck/Engineer for a 50m
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fairly new 50m . The ideal candidate should have experience on deck and some engineering knowledge.
Requirements
- Must hold AEC 2 as minimum
- Min. 2 years’ experience in yachting or 3 years on commercial vessel
- Strong troubleshooting & problem solving skills / mechanical issues
- Power Boat L2 highly beneficial
- Strong deck experience-60% of the time (owner & charter trips)
- Great communication skills and a team player
- B1/B2 visa
Responsibilities
- Assisting Chief Engineer and carrying out planned maintenance when there are no guests on board.
- Conduct regular inspections, and supporting the overall safety and efficiency of the yacht’s operation
- Supporting the team in all aspects of daily yacht operations
- Assisting in all aspects of deck, including exterior maintenance and tender driving
- This is a 60:40 split role, will suit a deck person with engineering interests rather than an engineer happy to help on deck.
Start date: end March/early April
Location: Florida
Salary: EUR 4500
Leave: 42 days per year
(2 flights per year)
Program & Itinerary- Ususally Dual Season -Private with plans to turn charter 2026.
