The Candidate Specification
We are seeking an outgoing, energetic, and professional Deckhand/Medic to join a 115m+ private yacht operating on a worldwide cruising programme. This is primarily a deckhand role. You do not need to be a qualified paramedic; however, you will be actively involved in safety drills, support the onboard medical team, assist with shoreside treatments, and liaise with MedAire when required.
The yacht runs a 3:1 rotation and offers extensive global cruising, providing the opportunity to visit some of the world's most incredible destinations. The ideal candidate will be confident and comfortable with medical knowledge and able to remain calm under pressure. A background in the armed forces or RNLI would be highly advantageous. We are looking for a strong character who is eager to contribute to a cohesive, high-performing crew. A watersports background is beneficial, and the role is suited to someone enthusiastic, proactive, and hands-on.
Candidates must hold a valid B1/B2 visa and have no visible tattoos.
You will be involved in a wide range of deck operations, including lookout duties, anchoring, mooring, and gaining exposure to all aspects of yacht operations, an exceptional opportunity to develop your skills on a large, professionally run vessel.
Life onboard is supportive, social, and engaging. The yacht has an excellent HOD team dedicated to mentoring and training crew members to reach their full potential. There is a generous training budget, along with strong overall crew support. Recreational facilities include a gym, dock workouts, crew BBQs, and group activities, creating a family-style environment. The atmosphere onboard is relaxed and positive, with music during work and a strong sense of camaraderie.
This is a male-only position. The yacht is seeking someone who thrives in a busy, social, and active environment, enjoys regular guest interaction, and is ready to contribute to a welcoming and professional onboard team.
