An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Head Butler / Deputy Household Manager to join a VVIP private residence in Central London. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring the highest standards of service, discretion, and operational oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
· Deliver full formal butler service to the principals and guests
· Plan, coordinate, and oversee functions and private events
· Recruit, train, and lead a household team, working alongside staff to maintain exemplary standards
· Oversee property maintenance and major refurbishments, liaising with contractors, security teams, and external suppliers
· Manage household administration, including budgeting, financial tracking, spreadsheets, staff rotas, and upkeep of household manuals
· Ensure the meticulous care and maintenance of crystal, silver, fine crockery, artworks, couture clothing, fine fabrics, and objects of significant value
· Act as a front-of-house presence, confidently representing the residence
· Work closely with the Head Chef and the Lady of the House on menu planning and hospitality requirements
· Conduct daily internal and external property inspections, identifying maintenance issues and reporting directly to the principals
The successful candidate will be honest, discreet, and exceptionally trustworthy, with the highest levels of integrity and professionalism. You will be proactive, detail-oriented, and driven to maintain excellence across all aspects of the residence. A confident presence, natural authority, and the ability to introduce thoughtful improvements are essential. Salary: £75,000–£80,000 depending on experience. This is a residential position.
