Summary
A 78m motor yacht is seeking a qualified and experienced ETO / AVIT to join the engineering department. The yacht operates privately and for charter with an extended cruising schedule. The vessel is equipped with an AZIPOD diesel-electric propulsion system supported by hybrid batteries, with also the latest AV/IT systems, requiring a strong technical background and proven electrical experience.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Participate in all electrical, electronic, and AV/IT systems onboard.
- Provide occasional support to the Enginering department with mechanical tasks.
- Ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all onboard systems.
- Perform planned and preventative maintenance with accurate record keeping.
- Assist with technical reporting and compliance documentation.
- Liaise effectively across departments, supporting operational and guest service needs.
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum 2-5 years’ yachting experience
- Strong electrical and AV/IT knowledge.
- EOOW CoC beneficial but not essential.
- Fluent in English, spoken and written.
- Highly proficient in computer systems and IT infrastructure.
- Well-organized, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Previous new build experience considered an advantage.
