Summary
A 40m private and charter motor yacht is looking for an experienced Bosun or a strong Senior Deckhand ready to step up into the role. The vessel has recently been purchased and is currently in the yard undergoing works and a full reset ahead of the season. Once complete, the yacht will be Monaco based with charters already booked.
British nationality ideally!
This is a permanent position with 60 days leave per year. Start date is ASAP.
We are building a solid, professional programme and are looking for the right person to be part of that from the ground up. The crew onboard are tight, active and motivated. Outside of work the team are into skiing, hiking and keeping fit. It’s a healthy, driven environment. Non-smokers only, and this is not a heavy drinking boat.
The role involves leading one deckhand and taking full responsibility for the deck department. With the yacht currently in shipyard, experience with deck set-up, organisation, inventory management and implementing structure is important. We want someone who is proactive, takes ownership and leads by example, not someone who waits to be told what to do.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include maintaining exterior standards to charter level, managing tender and toy operations, overseeing safety equipment, assisting with Mini ISM compliance and coordinating contractors during yard works. The yacht carries two sit-down and two stand-up jet skis, a jet tender and an inflatable slide, so strong watersports handling is essential. A jet ski instructor qualification would be a bonus. A diving qualification is welcome but not required.
Minimum qualification is Yachtmaster Offshore. An experienced Bosun is ideal, but a capable Senior Deckhand with the right mindset and maturity will be considered.
Salary TBC depending on experience. Training supported and bonus at owner’s discretion.
