Summary
West Nautical Crew are seeking an ambitious, dynamic, experienced 2nd Officer for a 70m new build.
Launching April/May this yacht has an incredible itinerary, great Captain & owner who have worked together for many years.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience on a similar sized vessel, someone who has climbed the ranks from Deckhand to Bosun, has strong deck leadership skills & the confidence to grow into this role.
This is a great opportunity for career progression as the Captain & owner supports progression, promotion & the possibility of working on other vessels as well, within the family fleet.
Previous drive experience is a bonus but not essential, as this will be given once onboard.
Additional skills are a huge positive - carpentry, painting, water sports instructor, diving, fitness, drone photographer/videographer etc.
Previous longevity is important 18 months+ on one yacht, climbing the ranks of progression a bonus.
This is not an 'back of the office' role, hands on, ambitious attitude is required & in return, training up for the next level will be provided.
Qualifications required:
STCW, ENG1
3000gt OOW
AEC 1&2 (not essential)
Power Boat L2
SSO (not essential)
Proven longevity ESSENTIAL
Additional deck skills (carpentry, painting, diving, water sports instructor etc)
Strong leadership skills for deck team
ISM/ISPS experience
