Captain | 35m New-Build Riva | Private | Med Season / Florida & Bahamas
We are seeking an exceptional Captain to take command of a 34m (112ft) new-build Riva currently in the yard in Italy.
The successful candidate will be involved through the final build phase until operational. Once operational, the vessel will complete an initial Mediterranean season, before relocating to a permanent base in Florida, cruising locally and regularly to the Bahamas.
This is a private programme for a kind, family-oriented, and extremely private owner. The vessel will be used for family trips as well as additional private use, so confidence managing dynamic programmes, short trips, and varied itineraries is essential. Children will be onboard regularly, making a calm, warm, and personable approach a must.
Requirements
- Master 500GT (or a very strong 200GT with proven command experience on 30–35m vessels)
- New-build experience or involvement in recent vessel deliveries
- Strong knowledge of the Bahamas cruising grounds
- Confident running short trips and family-focused programmes
- Exceptionally discreet, professional, and personable
- Comfortable working around children and maintaining a calm onboard environment
- Ideally non-US passport (vessel will be Cayman or Jamaican flagged)
- Personality fit is key: personable and chatty while remaining highly professional
