The Candidate Specification
We are seeking a confident, personable and highly capable Sous Chef to join a 80m+ private yacht. This is a key leadership role within the galley, working alongside the Head Chef and Crew Chef as part of a three-chef team. The successful candidate will be sociable, approachable, and able to integrate seamlessly into the wider crew culture while maintaining high professional standards. The cuisine style needs to be diverse. This role offers long-term stability, excellent support and great owners.
The Sous Chef plays a vital leadership and support role within the galley, acting as the primary support to the Head Chef and a mentor to the Crew Chef. In addition to cooking responsibilities, this role focuses heavily on maintaining standards, delivering training, and creating a positive, professional working environment. Strong leadership, clear communication and the ability to align daily galley operations with the Head Chef's expectations and values are essential.
