Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Bosun to lead the deck department onboard a 60m motor yacht. The Bosun will be responsible for the day-to-day management of deck operations, maintenance, and supervision of deck crew, ensuring the vessel is maintained to the highest professional and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and supervise the deck crew, assigning daily tasks and ensuring efficiency
• Maintain exterior areas, including hull, decks, teak, stainless steel, and tenders
• Oversee anchoring, mooring, docking, and tender operations
• Ensure safe working practices and compliance with ISM and maritime regulations
• Conduct deck equipment inspections and routine maintenance
• Train and mentor junior deck crew
• Manage deck inventories, spares, and consumables
Requirements
• Minimum 2–3 years experience as Bosun or Senior Deckhand
• Valid STCW (Basic Safety)
• ENG1 (or equivalent medical)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Excellent knowledge of deck maintenance, seamanship, and safety procedures
• Tender driving experience (license preferred)
• Yacht or commercial vessel experience required
Preferred Qualifications
• Yachtmaster Offshore/Ocean or equivalent
• Powerboat Level 2 or higher
• Experience on similar-sized vessels
