New vacancy for an experienced super yacht Second Engineer to join this amazing programme.
This is a full time and permanent position. Not rotational.
Licence: EOOW Unlimited or SV 2nd Engineer ticket
GRT: 1494 - MTU engines 4000 and generators 2000
Private and charter programme.
Flag: Bahamas.
Crew of 18.
Currently the vessel is in the Caribbean and due to head to the US for a yard period then head to Alaska. The vessel does charter but only after the owner's birthday in Alaska.
Superb salary package. Starting monthly salary $7000 + bonuses.
Training benefits.
Four weeks annual leave and increases by one additional week after every year of service. Caps at 6 weeks.
After one year of service the employee is entitled to one week of training with all flights & expenses included.
$1500 flight allowance per year. This increases by $500 after every year of service.
Full medical insurance, including dental to $1500. Starting as soon as possible.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief Engineer with the daily operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all mechanical and electrical systems
- Perform planned maintenance on main MTU engines, generators, watermakers, hydraulics, HVAC, and other onboard systems
- Carry out preventative maintenance and repairs on auxiliary systems, including fuel, cooling, and sewage systems
- Monitor engine room operations, ensuring smooth performance and compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues as they arise
- Maintain accurate engine room logs and maintenance records
- Assist with dry dock and yard periods, including system overhauls and upgrades
- Uphold safety procedures and contribute to a positive team environment
