A 45 metre private/charter motor yacht is seeking an experienced and motivated Solo Chef to join a busy and well-run vessel.
Position Overview
The Solo Chef will be responsible for delivering high-quality cuisine for owners, guests, and crew while managing all aspects of the galley independently. The ideal candidate will be creative, well-organised, and confident in catering for both private and charter guests, with strong attention to detail and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing high-quality meals for owners, charter guests, and crew
- Menu planning tailored to guest preferences, dietary requirements, and charter standards
- Provisioning, budgeting, and stock control
- Maintaining a clean, well-organised galley in line with hygiene and safety standards
- Managing food costs and minimising waste
- Liaising with the Captain and interior team regarding guest preferences and meal timing
- Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and yacht operational standards
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Solo Chef on similar-sized yachts preferred
- Ability to work independently under pressure in a fast-paced charter environment
- Strong knowledge of international cuisine and modern presentation
- Experience catering for high-end charter guests
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Flexible, positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Valid food hygiene certificates
- Excellent references are essential
Employment Details
- Contract: Seasonal contract with potential for a permanent role for right candidate.
- Start Date: 01 April
