Summary
An experienced, suitably qualified, passionate, and hard-working 3rd Officer is required for a private 100-meter+ motor yacht currently based in the EU. The ideal candidate should hold a minimum of Officer of the Watch II/1 and have significant yacht (80m+) industry experience. This is a top-of-the-industry role that requires an impeccable CV showing longevity, excellent leadership, and the full suite of officer skills. The role is suited to someone who is going to commit long-term to the programme and vessel, which is very well known. You should be teachable, keen, fit, open-minded and someone who can add immediate value to the team. Candidates with mother tongue English will be preferred but all nationalities will be considered.
The start date for this role is last week of January or the first week of February 2026. Candidates that need to serve notice may be considered but we will need to act quickly.
Job Specification
- Valid STCW '10 Certificates
- Valid ENG1 Medical with no restrictions
- Proficiency in Designated Security Duties (PDSD)
- Minimum 3+ Years on large yachts 80m+
- Navigational Watchkeeping II/1 or higher
- Good health and good sobriety
- Must speak fluent English
- Must have good written references and contact details must be provided
- No visible tattoos and preferably no smokers
- No criminal record
- Male candidates only
