TCN is seeking an experienced Captain to join a brand-new 30m Azimut Magellano motor yacht entering service for her first Mediterranean season.
The yacht is privately owned by a family with three children and will be used exclusively for private cruising (no charter), hosting a maximum of 8 guests. The owners are hands-on, approachable, and upgrading from previous vessels in the 70–80ft range.
This is a single-season operation, with summer cruising focused on the Greek Islands and Turkey. The vessel is expected to be based in a non-EU country (potentially Montenegro, TBC) and may be laid up or dry-docked during the winter period.
The Captain will work closely with an established interior team brought by the owner. There is no full-time engineer on board; technical support will be provided by surveyors and yard management as required.
Itinerary:
- Summer 2026: Mediterranean cruising – Greece & Turkey
- Winter: Vessel laid up / dry dock (minimal checks only, no liveaboard requirement) TBC
Requirements
- Master 500 GT (minimum)
- STCW +ENG 1 valid for 6 months min.
- Solid experience as Captain on 25-30m motor yachts
- Excellent family-oriented and service-focused mindset
- Confident navigation in the Eastern Mediterranean
- Experience with new builds considered a plus
- Valid visas for non-EU operation
Package
- Salary: €5,500 per month
- Leave: 40 days per calendar year
- Contract: Full-time, permanent
- Winter period: Reduced operational workload; no requirement to live onboard
