BOSUN REQUIRED
An opportunity has come up to work on a world-travelling private vessel.
Not much time spent in port so a sense of independence and adventure is needed.
The owner enjoys fishing and is a very experienced diver and the Bosun will be keenly involved in these activities. A fishing enthusiast with lots of fishing experience will be a huge advantage.
Short term plans are a yard period in Palma before we get the owner onboard. Plans beyond that are unclear but it is worth noting that the vessel does not usually cruise in the Mediterranean and often conducts large ocean passages.
As a result, a new joiner will need to be dynamic, motivated and have a positive attitude, ready for an off the beaten track programme. You will be well supported, expected to embrace responsibility and have a great learning path on this vessel so we are looking for someone hungry to develop. This position would suit someone who has started their OOW modules and TRB and is looking for a learning pathway.
We are looking for an assured tender driving and someone with technical deck skills.
Vessel: 45m world traveller
Start: around the 20 Jan, if not earlier
Salary: Industry standard
Qualification: Yachtmaster Offshore or Master of Yachts 200gt
Visas: B1B2/Schengen in hand (unfortunately, we cannot arrange a schengen for a candidate so you will need to have schengen or equivalent)
