Summary
A well-maintained 50 metre private sailing yacht is seeking an experienced and professional Bosun to join the deck team for an ongoing Mediterranean cruising program.
Essential Requirements:
- Yachtmaster Offshore certification
- Proven navigational watchkeeping experience
- Previous experience as Bosun or Senior Deckhand on sailing yachts
- Confident and professional jet tender driving, with a strong focus on guest safety and comfort
- Strong knowledge of deck maintenance, including painting and varnishing
- Good product knowledge relating to coatings, deck equipment, and maintenance systems
- Excellent seamanship and sailing capabilities
Advantageous:
- Dinghy sailing experience
- Key Responsibilities:
- Overall management and upkeep of the yacht’s exterior and deck operations
- Supervision, leadership, and training of deck crew
- Planning and execution of painting, varnish, and maintenance programs
- Maintenance of deck equipment, rigging, and sailing systems
- Standing navigational watches as required
- Assisting with sail handling, manoeuvring, and passages
- Supporting guest operations, including safe and smooth tender driving
- Ensuring all deck operations meet safety and professional standards
