Position: Sous Chef

Duration: December 26, 2025 - January 7, 2026

Location: USVI

Preference is for someone in the US or the Caribbean.

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team during a busy charter in the Caribbean. This temporary position, ASAP, offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic kitchen environment, contributing to the creation of exceptional dishes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in preparing and presenting high-quality meals.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate cooking activities.
  • Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are consistently met.
  • Manage inventory and assist with ordering supplies.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop seasonal menus.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
  • Handle food preparation and cooking according to established recipes and standards.
  • Respond to customer feedback and adjust menu offerings as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen operations.
  • Must hold a valid STCW certification and ENG1 medical certificate.
  • Normal driving license preferred.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Passion for food and commitment to quality.
