The Candidate Specification
We are seeking a motivated 3rd Officer to join a dynamic, ego-free crew mid-January. We need someone with their OOW in hand who is confident yet humble, eager to learn, and committed to contributing to a high-performing and positive bridge team.
The 3rd Officer will support the 2nd Officer and Chief Officer in all bridge operations, including navigation watchkeeping, assistance with passage planning, safety drills, and the upkeep of navigational equipment. The role requires a proactive learner who actively supports bridge operations and works hands-on with the deck team.
The ideal candidate is practical, approachable, and a strong team player who will integrate seamlessly into an excellent onboard culture. Technical competence is a bonus, including experience with Raytheon ECDIS, familiarity with DAGAMA, and confidence in managing chart updates.
