License Requirements: Master 200 or Yachtmaster Ocean
Certificates: Valid STCW, Medical Fitness Certificate, and Seaman’s Book
Crew: 4 permanent crew, increasing to 7 for crossings
Salary Package: Competitive, approximately €8,000–€8,500
Leave/Rotation: Permanent preferred, but high-quality rotational candidates may be considered.
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Captain to lead a privately operated 100ft+ Royal Huisman sailing yacht. This performance cruising vessel requires excellent seamanship, strong technical understanding, and proven leadership in remote and varied cruising regions.
The yacht typically hosts 2–6 guests for approximately four trips yearly. The successful candidate will work closely with the owners and a stable, skilled crew to ensure safe operation, maintenance oversight, logistics, and budget management. A full handover with the current Captain will be provided to support a smooth transition into the role.
