Captain – 60m Private Motor Yacht (Cayman Islands Flag)
Location: Europe / Caribbean / Potential Med or New England itineraries

Rotation: 3 months full-time (probation), then 2:2 time for time
Visa Requirements: Schengen / B1B2
This 60m private motor yacht is used extensively by a private, family-owned clientele. The owners enjoy a formal, professional atmosphere onboard with guest numbers ranging from 2–12. Following a season in Europe, the yacht will undergo warranty work before planning a Caribbean season, with potential Mediterranean or New England itineraries thereafter. The owners plan to move between their fleet, and the yacht will continue to be heavily used each season.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced, professional Captain to lead a crew of 9 and ensure the safe, smooth, and efficient operation of the yacht. Reporting directly to the owners, the Captain will combine expert seamanship with exceptional leadership and the ability to deliver a high standard of guest experience at all times.
Due to the nature of the role, we are looking for someone who has been a Captain for at least 4 years. Unfortunately, not a Chief Officer looking to step up at this stage.
Key Responsibilities
- Full responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the yacht
- Oversee navigation, compliance, ISM/MLC, and class requirements
- Lead, manage, and motivate a professional crew while fostering a positive team culture
- Serve as the main point of contact with the owners and management company
- Manage budgets, maintenance schedules, and refit/yard periods
- Ensure an exceptional guest experience, maintaining the highest level of professionalism
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Captain on similarly sized luxury yachts
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of yacht operations, compliance, and safety regulations
- Schengen / B1B2 visas
