Summary
We are looking for a professional and motivated Bosun.
They are required for a well-run 70m motor yacht. This is a hands-on leadership position overseeing the deck team of 5 and ensuring all exterior operations run smoothly.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief Officer and 2nd Officer and be a key figure in guest operations, deck maintenance, and water sports activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the deck crew in daily operations, washdowns, maintenance, and detailing
- Manage paint, varnish, and exterior maintenance schedules Idea/Pinpoint
- Drive tenders confidently including large 16m tender
- Oversee water sports setup and guest interaction
- Assist with anchoring, mooring, and general deck operations
- Uphold high standards of safety, seamanship, and professionalism
- Mentor junior deckhands and support training
Requirements
- Yachtmaster Offshore (minimum) – OOW in progress
- Strong tender-driving background and excellent boat-handling skills
- Previous Bosun 50m+ yachts (70m+ preferred) could be a strong Lead hand from a larger yacht wanting there
- Solid knowledge of exterior maintenance products and techniques
- Confident leader with strong communication and teamwork skills
- ENG1, STCW, PDSD, and all relevant certs up to date
Fishing and Diving experience a bonus
