Summary
We’re on the lookout for a solid 2nd Engineer to jump into an 8:8 rotation on a 55m Damen Support Yacht running a two-boat private program.
The engine room is very much hands-on and not the showroom type. The boat started life commercially and was converted in 2015, so it’s not a shiny space – definitely not one for someone hunting gloss and polish.
Expect assisting on deck when needed with tenders, including driving or operating the onboard crane during trips. Full arsenal of water sports toys and tenders so knowledge with a wide range of these is beneficial and an adaptable and practical mindset is key
It runs CAT for both mains and generators. The 2026 program kicks off in Costa Rica, with a Galapagos Islands trip planned, then a yard period on the West Coast USA soon after.
With a big focus on water sports, it’s a hands-on gig, the captains, engineers, and interior team are all top-tier, and the vibe onboard is friendly, low-ego, and easy going.
