Summary

We are seeking a skilled 2nd Officer for a new build 77m motor yacht under construction, with a focus on operations in the Mediterranean Sea. In this permanent position, you will support the bridge team in navigation, watchkeeping, and safety management while maintaining compliance with maritime regulations. Responsibilities include assisting with passage planning, monitoring vessel systems, and ensuring the safety of crew and guests during operations. The ideal candidate will possess relevant certifications, strong communication skills, and experience in a similar role on large yachts. You will work closely with a crew of 22, contributing to a collaborative team environment. A commitment to excellence in service and safety is essential. Essential Qualifications

Entry Level Qualifications (or equivalent)

• STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
• ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)

Master/Skipper Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• MCA Navigational Watch Rating (NWR) Certificate
• MCA Yacht Rating Certificate
• RYA Yachtmaster Offshore
• MCA CoC Officer of the Watch <3000gt
• MCA CoC Chief Mate <3000gt

RYA/MCA Deck Modules (OR Short Courses & equivalent)

• MCA Training Record Book (TRB)
• Navigation & Radar (OOW Yachts)
• General Ship Knowledge (OOW Yachts)

Specialised Security Courses

• Proficiency as Ship Security Officer (SSO) (A-VI/5)
