2nd Engineer in Turkey

Summary

75 m. high profile new build private yacht is looking for a Second Engineer. The yacht is with hybrid propulsion, so very good technical knowledge needed. You must be familiar with all aspects of the engineering equipment service and maintenance - HVAC, Hydraulic systems, Tenders, MTU main engines, VOLVO variable speed diesel generators, including understanding of battery propulsion and power management, DC switchboard distribution, PTI/PTO control and EGAT systems. Engine department consists of Chief Engineer, Second engineer and Third Engineers/ETO. Part of your responsibility will include watchkeeping, assisting to Chief Engineer and Deep Blue planned maintenance system.

Non-rotational position, single season - salary in Euro 7500 with 60 days leave. Shared cabin with Third Engineer/ETO.

Essential Qualifications

Engineering Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• RYA Diesel Engine Course
• MCA Approved Engine Course (AEC 1 & 2) Certificate
• MCA Engine Watch Rating Certificate
• MCA Marine Engine Operator License (Y)
• 2nd Engineer III/2 (SV) (<3000gt <9000kW)
• RIII/2 Y2 Chief Engineer (<3000gt <3000kW)/ Chief Engineer (SV) (<3000gt <9000kW)
• RIII/2 2nd Engineer (Unlimited)
